Sabrina Ionescu repeats as Nancy Lieberman award winner, named nation’s most outstanding player, collects 3rd All-American honor

TAMPA, Fla. — Oregon’s Sabrina Ionescu repeated as the winner of the Nancy Lieberman award, which recognizes the nation’s top point guard, won the Wade Trophy and earned her third All-American honors.

Ionescu beat out fellow finalists Destiny Slocum of Oregon State, UConn’s Crystal Dangerfield, South Carolina’s Tyasha Harris and Syracuse’s Tiana Mangakhia for the Lieberman award. She also collected the WBCA’s Wade Trophy, presented to the nation’s most outstanding player, and was named a first-team All-American by the coaches on Thursday night at Amalie Arena, site of the women’s Final Four.

The Ducks junior is averaging 19.9 points, 8.2 assists and 7.5 rebounds this season.
