Youth basketball players looking to hone their craft over the summer can do so under the tutelage of a Pro Basketball Hall of Famer.
Nancy Lieberman will conduct the latest round of her summer basketball camps, beginning Monday-Thursday at Fieldhouse USA in Frisco. The camp is available to boys and girls ages 5-17 with a day-of-registration fee of $190 per camper.
The first three days of the camp (Monday-Wednesday) will span 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. and will focus on learning basketball’s fundamentals and improving strength and technique, as well as instruction of topics such as discipline, leadership and sportsmanship. Games and other competitions between campers will also be a part of each day’s festivities.
The camp’s final day — Thursday — will run from 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. and will conclude with championship game play and an awards ceremony.
A second camp will take place later this summer on Aug. 10-13, which also takes place at Fieldhouse USA and costs $190.
Campers are encouraged to arrive 20 minutes earlier each day and to bring their own basketball and sneakers.
