Charlotte’s own Dell and Seth Curry unveil courts where Steph and Seth learned the game

HARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) – The Currys are bringing a new meaning to home court advantage after unveiling new outdoor courts in Charlotte during All-Star Weeknd.

In partnership with the NBA, Under Armour, RISE, Nancy Lieberman Charities, Seth and Dell Curry unveiled two new outdoor courts at the Naomi Drenan Recreation Center.

This is the center where Steph and Seth first learned the game, and spent hours working to become the NBA players they are today.

Days and nights were spent here, a space to focus on basketball and friends in a way few places could offer.

So returning home to Charlotte for 2019 NBA All-Star Weekend, the Curry’s made it a mission to bring back their home court and make it something for those in the Charlotte community to enjoy.

A local artist took worn down slabs of concrete, and using the Curry number 30 and a special “splash” transformed the space into something new and accessible for the entire community.
